Baked Asparagus Fries with Egg Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of fresh asparagus spears
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 425F 220C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Wash and trim the asparagus spears, then pat them dry with a paper towel
In a shallow dish, mix together the bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper
In another shallow dish, beat the eggs to create an egg wash
Dip each asparagus spear into the egg wash, ensuring its coated evenly, and then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating
Place the coated asparagus spears on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, and lightly spray them with cooking spray
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the asparagus fries are golden brown and crispy
While the asparagus fries are baking, prepare a simple egg dip by mixing one beaten egg with a pinch of salt and pepper in a small bowl
Once the asparagus fries are done, serve them hot with the egg dip on the side as a delicious and healthy snack or appetizer
