Orange Cream Granita

This Orange Cream Granita recipe captures the refreshing flavors of a classic creamsicle in a frozen dessert. Its simple to make with just a few ingredients, and perfect for cooling down on a hot day.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Orange zest, for garnish optional

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together orange juice, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until sugar is dissolved

Pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish or pan

Place the dish in the freezer

After 1 hour, stir the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals

Repeat this process every 30 minutes for about 3-4 hours, or until the mixture is fully frozen and has a granular texture

To serve, scrape the granita with a fork into serving dishes

Garnish with orange zest if desired
